Scout Blast (August News): No summertime blues for Pack 442!

Pack 442 floats through Lakeway 4th of July Parade!

The annual Independence Day parade is a beloved Lakeway tradition and this year Pack 442 made a triumphant, post-pandemic return to celebrate the red, white and blue. Scouts from all ranks joined together to decorate a float and throw candy to what the city is reporting was the largest crowd in the event's history! It was a great opportunity to celebrate our Pack's accomplishments and introduce ourselves to those new to the area!

Upcoming Events

2021/2022 Calendar is now LIVE on the website!

Your Pack 442 leadership team has been hard at work organizing a wide selection of exciting events for our Scouts. Our 2021/2022 calendar is now available with events including classic favorites like Rocket Day and Raingutter Regatta, a fantastic service project with the Travis County Sheriff's Department and a scheduled return to in-person Pack Meetings for those wishing to participate!

Our updated calendar also includes a couple of new convenience features. Click on the event of interest to download it to your Outlook, Google or Apple Calendar - or click on the social sharing links to help spread the word! You can check out the full calendar here.

Sunday, August 15th @ Lakeway Swim Center - End of Summer Pizza & Pool Party

Bring a non-Scout friend to enjoy our celebration and also learn more about our Pack during this Join Scouting Night event. This year's event will be held from 6-8PM at the Lakeway Swim Center. New and returning scouts will have an opportunity to (re)register. Contact your den leader for additional details!

Water Safety, First Aid & CPR Training:

If you're interested in becoming more involved with the Pack Committee, or simply want to become trained in water safety, first aid or CPR, please let us know. We're scheduling certified courses this summer to make sure our leaders are properly prepared in the event of an accident and want to extend that opportunity to all the parents of our Pack.
